Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree (G.E.D.)
• One to three years related experience and a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
  • Or the equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
• Pre-employment Hearing Screening and Biannual hearing tests required. Hearing must meet industry standard hearing and testing guidelines.
• Pre Employment Illegal Substance Screening.

EMPLOYER-PAID BENEFITS

• Vacation - On a sliding scale based on tenure with the City. 96 hours annual accrual for years 1-5.
• Sick Leave - 96 hours annual accrual
• Personal Leave - Employees are permitted to use up to 16 hours of accrued Sick Leave per year for Personal Leave.
• Longevity Pay - Sliding scale based on tenure with City (After 5 years of Service). Paid annually.
• Bereavement Pay - 3 days per occurrence; up to 9 days per year with supervisor approval.

    • Monthly Employee Share: 7/1/23 - 6/30/25 (Rate increase expected 7/1/25)
      • Family - $408.50/month / Single - $168.99/month

For every 1 year employed by the City of Dickinson, the City will pay an additional 1% of your health insurance (If you're employed with the City for 20 years, your insurance would be 100% paid)

  • HealthEquity Medical Flex Spending Account - The City puts $450.00 into a Medical Spending Account annually for Full-Time employees for out-of-pocket medical costs. (Pro-rated for PT Regular employees)
