CVP is seeking a highly motivated and organized Public Relations Specialist to join the team and help build stakeholders' involvement and productive relationships. The professional in this role will support high-quality program deliverables and ensure that messages are communicated well.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop subject matter expertise in the critical manufacturing sector.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and attend council meetings. Develop meeting summaries, agendas, and other materials.
  • Provide strategic planning for roundtables, road shows, and other events.
  • Support and track high-visibility taskers for executives and other stakeholders.
  • Manage communications with government employees in the executive and legislative branches, private industry, media, and general public.
  • Provide customer service support to one or more federal government leads, including a proactive approach to facilitate the clients’ needs and program duties.

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance. (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and translate concepts for various audiences’ perspectives.
  • Past experience with event support and logistics.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% for domestic events.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to forecast program needs and take initiative
  • Willingness to work in small teams or individually

Desired Skills

  • Interest in/familiarity with the critical manufacturing sector.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of relationships between federal, state, local, territorial, and tribal governments, private sector partnerships, and international partnerships.
  • Current DHS suitability or an active government security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Technical writing experience with the Associated Press Stylebook or U.S. Government Publishing Office Style Manual.

  • Hybrid role, 1-2 days onsite in Arlington, VA
