Public Relations Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a creative and knowledgeable PR Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in PR, with a successful track record serving Fintech or Tech company clients. Working under the supervision of the Chief Commercial Officer, the PRS is responsible for community and public awareness that assists with deal generation in our larger business objectives. He/she will work to promote our fintech platform (One Bridge) and build brand awareness. The PRS must be an adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment with a high level of urgency and detail. This is a remote, part-time contract position (up to 20 hours).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic PR plans that align with company goals and objectives
• Build and maintain relationships with key media contacts and journalists
• Create compelling content, including press releases, pitches, and media kits, that effectively communicates key messages to target audiences
• Monitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends to identify opportunities and proactively address potential issues
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all communications channels
• Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on PR activities and results
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in PR and communications

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a similar field
• 3-5 years of experience in PR or corporate communications
• Experience working with Tech or Fintech clients preferred
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling content for a variety of audiences
• “Story-teller" style, with an ability to innovate and cut through the noise
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns
• Experience managing media relationships and securing media coverage
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Familiarity with social media and digital communications channels
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Ability work effectively with peers and leadership across the organization.
