Porsche Penske Motorsport is looking for a Public Relations Representative to manage the operational PR, media, and marketing activities for its motorsport team within the IMSA series. This position will be the official spokesperson of Porsche Penske Motorsport alongside the official Porsche and Penske representatives. This position will be responsible for forging relationships with the media and utilizing contacts to enhance our team, drivers, and partners presence within television race broadcast, print, digital, and social media. This position is not a hybrid role. This position will be full-time and based in our Mooresville, North Carolina, race shop.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for all communications (IMSA) needs for Porsche Penske Motorsport.
- First point of contact for all requests for media interviews with Porsche Penske Motorsport personnel, including drivers in North America.
- Serve as the primary liaison for all IMSA Series Marcoms requests, planning and activities. Will work in tandem with primary liaison for WEC marcoms, planning and activities for consistency of messaging and programming across the Porsche Penske Motorsport banner.
- Coordinate and schedule all team/driver marketing and PR commitments.
- Provide leadership, management, team, drivers, and partners with a high-level of customer service, support and information sharing including development and distribution of team race day reporting (pre-, during and post-) for internal (leadership/team) and external (media) stakeholders.
- Develop strong media and racing series (IMSA) relationships.
- Support ideation, development, and posting of team social media content from race events and ‘behind the scenes’ at the team facility.
- Develop team communications strategy in collaboration with other PR team members from Porsche Motorsport and Team Penske.
- Coordination and execution of team communications strategy for:
- Testing
- Race Events
- Crisis Management
- Manage win/Lose planning, including the collection of win artifacts and paraphernalia for archives.
- Coordinate team photography and video production in collaboration with other PR team members from Porsche Motorsport and Team Penske, as well as third party resources.
- Oversee at-track duties related to driver and media scheduling, providing victory lane/post-race support, and executing crisis management plans when applicable.
- Support leadership, management, driver handling, and logistics on the ground/at the race track.
- Work independently to capture behind-the-scenes and at-track social media content for Porsche Penske Motorsport related channels.
- Work alongside the Porsche Marketing team to create content for Porsche's global communication activities.
- Participate in scheduled weekly team meetings and give detailed reports on partner and media activities.
- Work closely within the broader Marketing and PR teams and other team departments as assigned.
- Support other PR and marketing activities, including but not limited to organizing team events, show car management, CSR/ESG and Sustainability initiatives.
- Attend race events, test days, and other team commitments, including but not limited to media and partner functions/events.
- Be an adaptable team player in all situations, including performing other duties as assigned.
- Adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least three years of experience with a team, brand, or agency within the motorsports (IMSA/WEC preferred), sports & entertainment or media industry.
- Highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Self-starter and highly motivated to succeed with a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with internal and external executive leadership.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with exceptional level of organization and attention to detail.

- Ability to work weekends and to all IMSA races is required; mostly, race weekends with some weekday travel for meetings and testing also required.
