Mercy Health is a non-profit healthcare related organization aiming to bring care wherever the most underserved patient populations of Orange and LA counties are at.
We are looking for Public Health coordinator to work 15 to 20 hours a week (could be a full-time position for the right candidates) to help with the following:
1. 50% of the time will be dedicated to office work to set up the events and administrative work as we are a new organization.
2. 50% of the time will be dedicated to working the events such as Covid and vaccination events, Narcan educational program, HIV educational program and more. You will see first hand Public Health in action. Mercy Health will be part of vaccination events at all public venues including schools, churches, supermarkets, jail system etc...we will provide support wherever the patients are at. Thus reliable transportation is necessary.
3. The ideal candidate must possess good verbal and written communication skills; organization skills; able to follow directions and instructions from the manager director.
4. Be able to use microsoft Office
5. Be able to be independent and be self sufficient with basic supervision.
6. Must be able to commute when needed to wherever the needs of the community are. Mercy Health 's key focus is to outreach and bring education and services to where the underserved communities are.
