YOUR PROFILE
Are you passionate about communicating? Do you like managing all aspects of an organization's public image, including planning events, producing collateral, drafting press releases, and interacting with the public and officials? Above all, do you want to work as part of a dynamic team for a rapidly expanding multinational renewable energy company?
YOUR CHALLENGE
As a motivated and resourceful Public Affairs Advisor you will play a key role in Boralex’ s mission to develop and deliver renewable energy. The ideal candidate will identify and respond to company needs, as appropriate, and demonstrate creative thinking to solve problems in a fun and collaborative environment. Reporting to the Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications, you will wear many hats and contribute to diverse areas, including:

  • Collaborate closely with the Development and Environment and Community Relations teams for the purpose of assisting them in developing renewable energy projects through strategic communications and grassroot engagement.
  • Execute all aspects of event management, from planning and budgeting to on-site logistics and post-event follow-up.
  • Create visually appealing event collateral, including invitations, signage, and promotional materials.
  • Assist with logistics related to managing the distribution and promotion of donations.
  • Manage and maintain key internal and external communications assets and channels such as newsletters, and social media.
  • Work in partnership with the Operations team and the Corporate Communications team in a crisis to preserve the organization's reputation.
Your Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, event management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in event planning and execution, with strong budgeting and logistical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a talent for creative content creation, demonstrated through successful teamwork across diverse teams and locations.
  • Experience coordinating with stakeholders or partners in different regions or time zones.
  • Strong graphic arts skills with proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Creative mindset with an eye for detail and a passion for delivering visually stunning events.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable in social media management and digital communication.
  • Adaptability and willingness to travel as needed for the role.
  • Fluency in French considered a strong asset
