River City Federal Credit Union is seeking a part-time entry level Human Resources Specialist to join our team and provide clerical support in San Antonio, TX.
Job Description:
The Human Resources Specialist will be responsible for the assisting with recruitment posting, assist with systemic onboarding and gathering documents, assisting with scheduling of applicants for interviews, assist with record retention of documents, preparation of letters for review, virtual scanning and filing. The Human Resources Specialist will also assist with compliance audits and other duties.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to learn, as well as a desire to provide exceptional customer service to our internal staff and applicants. This position requires an individual who is self-motivated, results-oriented, and eager to learn. This position requires the individual’s ability to work with Word and Excel for letters and tracking. The individual must be able to work independently, and ask questions for clarity.
Essential Functions:
Assists in preparation for new employee orientation and collects new employee paperwork.
Assists in maintaining employee records and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Assist in data entry for pre-employment screening process such as requesting background, credit and criminal checks.
Assist with recruiting, third party job posting, including schools and universities, LinkedIn, Work In Texas, Indeed, and other resources.
Assist in maintaining training records and updates on various platforms like CUES, AARP, and others.
Develops partnerships with internal staff that enable the Human Resources function to provide appropriate services to business partners.
Assists with annual benefits enrollment for group health, dental, life insurance, long-term disability, and cafeteria plan benefits.
Assist with FMLA compliance timelines and paperwork.
Assist with HR projects, such as updating employee handbook, updating job descriptions as directed, collecting data to present to Supervisor, gather HR surveys and polls from industry and others.
Performs data entry and virtual filing of all HR related documents in record retention order. Assists with I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification forms annual audit.
Provide administrative support by answering incoming phone calls; scheduling appointments; scheduling appointments, mailing mail; scanning documents into computer system; faxing/emailing documents such verification of employment after completed by Manager.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.02 - $21.04 per hour
