Compensation: $24.04/hourly
The PSR Unit Leader works to improve competencies of persons with psychiatric disabilities through the Psychosocial Rehabilitation process. The person in this position is responsible for the organization and leadership in providing a variety of Psychosocial Rehabilitation opportunities for clients. Opportunities consist of skills-based groups, symptom management, wellness education, community integration, leisure and recreational events, crisis intervention and support. The PSR Unit Leader is also responsible for development of sound, clinical treatment goals for assigned consumers established through the assessment process.
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position where the candidate will work Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm located at 12618 Lamplighter Square in South St. Louis County.
Responsibilities include:
- Exhibits a thorough understanding of Adapt’s philosophy and mission, policies and procedures, and the goals of the program
- Exhibits a thorough understanding of CPRC and PSR standards as outlined in the DMH Core Rules.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of assigned clients
- Develops and completes all necessary documentation, plans, and documents relevant to designated caseload according to PSR and CPRC standards
- Develops and implements therapeutic individual and group services as prescribed per consumer’s Individualized Recovery Plans
- Promotes maximum participation of consumers in the program and therapeutic activities
- Promotes independent living skills and autonomy in areas of interpersonal relationships, meaningful activity, community living, wellness management, and community resources
- Communicates pertinent information to supervisor, relevant providers, and treatment team
- Engages and educates families in treatment and rehabilitation process when appropriate
- Routinely acts as an advocate and facilitator for consumers overall needs and care
- Provides crisis intervention services and facilitates outreach efforts
- Transports consumers on designated routes safely and efficiently
- Demonstrates good clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Demonstrates energy, respect, compassion, and enthusiasm while making a positive contribution to the team and program
- Demonstrates and applies current knowledge of mental health and treatment
- Presents a positive and professional image of Adapt in attitude and dress
- Works as scheduled with rare absences and tardiness
- Engages in supervision and is open to constructive criticism while making apparent efforts for improvement
- Attends trainings required for position
- Performs other duties as assigned by Program Director
- Conducts activities in a culturally competent manner and is responsible for complying with the Corporate Compliance Plan
Job Requirements
- Associates degree in psychology, social work or related mental health field required
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or related mental health field preferred
- At least two (2) years experience in mental health field and/or experience working with adults with chronic mental illnesses preferred
- Must obtain a Class E driver’s license and meet insurance eligibility requirements if using company vehicles
