Job Description PURPOSE OF POSITION Bilingual-Bicultural (Spanish speaking) Psychologist needed to address unmet clinical service needs in the CDTP. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES Provision of Clinical services Maintain Proper Records and files Supervision of junior Psychology staff or students, as appropriate Provide Consultation and Training, as appropriate Participate in Research activities, as appropriate Perform Clinical and Psychological Evaluations and tests, as required SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Under supervision, performs the following tasks: Participates in the CDTP as clinical member of the professional therapeutic team Reports and interprets results of contacts with patients, families and collaterals. Participates in training program Maintains suitable records and files of therapy progress and test performances Gathers, arranges, summarizes and quantitatively treats collected data.
Administers, scores, and prepares evaluation and psychological tests reports Participates in psychological and general staff conferences. Minimum Qualifications 1. Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, PsyD, EdD) in Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited program, accepted by the NYSED.
2. Valid limited permit to practice as a Psychologist issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED). 3.
Valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED must be obtained within two (2) years of appointment to title. Department Preferences QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB: CERTIFICATION(S)/LICENSE(S): Eligible for License as a Psychologist by the New York State Department of Education EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: A Doctoral Degree in clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Health Psychology or Neuro- Psychology, awarded upon completion of a Doctoral Program in Psychology KNOWLEDGEABLE IN: Electronic Medical Records Providing mental health treatment to Spanish- speaking populations COMPUTER PROGRAMS/SOFTWARE OPERATED Electronic Medical Records Microsoft Office Software Benefits We offer a benefits package that includes health insurance coverage, dental, vision, retirement saving plans and paid time off.
