Psychiatric Care Coordinator Supervisor #1538

ThePsychiatric Care Coordinator Supervisorprovides direct supervision to Psychiatric Care Coordinators. Manages Psychiatric Care Coordination services, and works closely with Program Director and Service Director/Clinical Manager to design, implement, and coordinate aspects of Psychiatric Services Program. 

Location: This position is based out of LifeWorks NW's Beaverton site. 

Pay/Benefits: $32.91 starting hourly pay, plus  pro-rated comprehensive benefits. 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Supervises Psychiatric Care Coordinator staff including hiring, training and addressing performance successes and concerns. 
• Manages program specific IT databases such as e-prescribing system, phone tree coverage/allocation, and registration for prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP)
• Coordinates registration and maintenance for federal monitoring and prescribing system, REMS
• Works with Program leadership to create and implement new policies and procedures. 
• Manages all aspects of Indigent Fund Medication Process
• Helps facilitate resolution for psychiatric emergencies
• Coordinates across multi-disciplinary teams within various clinics to facilitate disposition for admits, discharges, and inter agency transfers
• Responds to formal complaints and grievances 
• Responsible for monthly documentation audits for Psychiatric Care Coordinator staff. 
• Develops psychiatric case management services/curriculum. 
• Approves orders for medical equipment and supplies and helps manage the supply chain. 
• May be asked to provide Psychiatric Care Coordinator duties as needed. 
• Provides assistance to direct reports with work issues including establishing clear expectations regarding performance and training. Provides regular supervision to staff (minimally two times per month); performance reviews
• Reviews and approves timesheets
• Monitors productivity and direct service of Psychiatric Care Coordination staff 
• Works with IT to administer e-prescribing software including setting up new users, providing training, and troubleshooting problems. 
• Protect the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained. 
• Manage medication supplies and medication disposal process. 
• Coordinate and refer clients to community support services. Coordinate with partner agencies on information consultations. 
• Does data entry, references information on the computer, schedules, runs basic reports as needed. 
• May be asked to travel between sites or in the community. 
• Acts a resources to program staff about Psychiatric services policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• MA/MS degree in behavioral sciences field and prefers at least three years relevant work, education, training, or experience. Preferred 2 years supervisory experience.
• QMHP credentialed with MHACBO or a license in the behavioral health field.
• Familiarity with mental health and medical terminology preferred.  
• Good computer skills including a functional knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.  Ability to master proprietary software which may include on-line scheduling and billing.  Must be able to keyboard 40 wpm.
• May require access to a car and valid driver's license.
• May require fluency in another language and experience in a specific culture.
• May require ability to work some evenings and/or weekends.
