Job Description
- The Package Refurbishment & Upgrades (PRU) Controls Design Engineer is responsible for the design of turbine and driven equipment
- control systems and upgrades to existing fielded equipment, while meeting established expectations for quality and timeliness (driven
- equipment includes, but is not limited to, gas compressors, pumps, and industrial power generators). He or she will interface with PRU Project
- Application Engineering, PRU Project Management, PSO (D380) Operations, Mabank Operations, Regional Field Engineers, Field Project
- Engineers, and other departments to ensure that projects are well defined and meet the scope of supply. He or she will create the electrical
- schematic, console and package electrical wiring diagrams, interconnect wiring schedule, controller and display (HMI) software.
- Additionally, the candidate will support Project Management to develop and define custom requirements, as well as supporting the
- manufacturing and test organizations through successful completion of the project, maintaining a close liaison with Standards Engineering to
- ensure that design improvements are incorporated into the relevant standard database(s) and will participate in HAZOPS, customer design
- reviews, technical task risk assessments, Factory Pre-Commissioning (FPC), acceptance tests and support field personnel through
- equipment commissioning.
Minimum Requirements
- 6+ years relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering
- Previous controls engineering experience
- Advanced knowledge of control systems (PLC5, RSLogix, HMI, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of Solar's various product lines and applications
- Working knowledge of Promis-e software
- Familiarization with BIQ and RCCA processes
