The Clinical Education team exists to support all the Primary Care Organization's providers, nurses, social workers and other staff members through training education spanning onboarding to continuing education.
The Provider Education (CME) Program Coordinator supports the clinical education leadership to ensure that the annual clinical education curriculum is effectively implemented for providers and other staff members. This role will involve ongoing program management and coordination in partnership alongside Clinical Education leadership. The Provider Education (CME) Program Coordinator work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Summary
The Provider Education (Continuing medical education- CME) Program Coordinator works with the National director, Clinical Education, Clinician development committee, clinical education team and learning team to plan and implement PCO annual clinical curriculum that includes national Grand Rounds lectures, market-based lectures, all on-line and Web CME activities, and all other regularly scheduled conferences. The Provider Education (CME) Program Coordinator works independently with limited day to day supervision to coordinate all administrative functions related to support of the aforementioned CME activities, including planning and accreditation, review and approval of accreditation applications, publicity, preparation of reports and presentations, coordination and scheduling of meetings, and development of materials. The Provider EducationProgram Coordinatorunderstands the requirements and guidelines set forth by the CME governing body, compliance, Humana finance, and demonstrates decision making ability in the day-to-day planning and implementation of CME activities. Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Role Responsibilities
PLANNING:
Coordinates assigned CME activities including scheduling, communication and follow up details
  • Develops, distributes, and evaluates needs assessment surveys for the target audiences
  • Reviews and approves applications for accrediting body and provides on-going compliance monitoring.
  • Works with Clinician Development Committee, National Director, Clinical Education and other physician leaders to identify topics based on needs assessment
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of CME accreditation requirements and coordinates with PCO CME liaison.

EVALUATION:
  • Develops, distributes, collects and analyzes evaluation tools
  • Synthesizes such data and created reports for dissemination to leadership

MARKETING:
  • Develops content and manages distribution of publicity for above-mentioned CME activities
  • Develops content and maintains web page for above-mentioned CME activities
  • Collaborates with the learning team to develop program marketing strategy

IMPLEMENTATION:
  • Coordinates all logistical arrangements for CME and non-CME clinical educational activities to include save the dates, provider schedule coordination, meeting invitations, speaker, and educational materials. Independently manages off-site CME activities, clinical education team retreats
  • Receives and tracks program cost, prepares invoices, and schedules honoraria payments.
  • Maintains registration, attendance, and all required documentation for above-mentioned CME activities in compliance with accreditation body requirements.

REPORTING:
  • Schedules, attends, and is a significant contributor to monthly Clinician Development Committee meetings.
  • Creates reports for National Director, Clinical education, Clinician Development Committee and national leaders.
  • Provides data and documentation for attendance and feedback related to above-mentioned CME activities.

SPECIAL PROJECTS:
  • Provides support to the National Director of Clinical Education through work on special projects and provides required administrative support
  • Represents the PCO and Clinical Education at institutional, state, and national education conferences when needed.

  • This role will require limited off-site travel up to 10% of the time.

This role is under the leadership of National Director, Clinical Education and works in close collaboration with the Clinician Development Committee, Learning team, Clinical Education team and other training team members.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of five years of healthcare educational/learning coordination experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Zoom, MS Teams
  • Experience managing projects or processes in a dynamic, complex environment
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build rapport at all levels within the organization
  • Professional presence with the ability to confidently interact with senior management.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic health system/Residency program/health university experience is preferred
  • Experience using a wide variety of training tools to effectively facilitate to a wide audience
  • Experience with CME and CEU credits

Additional Information
  • Remote role
  • Ability to travel up to 10%, largely within local and regional markets.

Work from Home Requirements
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$63,400 - $87,400 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
