I-2-I Solutions is looking to hire a Protestant Worship Leaderto support the overall chapel mission by working cooperatively with leadership, staff members, and volunteers at the Offutt Chapel.

Work location: Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.

- Work hours/Days: 217 hour/year. Schedule to be determined. Not to exceed a total of 62 units (or 217 hours) per year.

Required Qualifications:

Possess a general understanding of the basic concepts of Christian doctrine;

Possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a Praise and Worship Leader in a worship service setting to include:

- Leading a band, praise team, and congregation in songs vocally and instrumentally (e.g. while playing a guitar or keyboard);

- Recruiting, assembling, and maintaining a band and praise team, and leading them in rehearsals;

- Possessing a current repertoire of Contemporary Christian music and songs;

- Possessing the ability to play a diversity of songs relevant to the service’s needs;

- Possessing training in music with the ability to read music and/or to effectively play by “ear;”

Be willing to work within an interdenominational and interfaith setting with chaplains and parishioners of diverse religious positions/backgrounds;

Pass a background check in accordance with DODI 1402.5; and

Job Description

Recruit, assemble, rehearse with and lead a band and praise team, to include instrumentalists and a vocalist for worship services;

- Assists the Superintendent, Religious Affairs or Chaplain in charge of volunteers to implement a program to qualify volunteers, train volunteers, track volunteer hours, and recognize volunteers in accordance with DoDI 1100.21 when volunteer services are regularly occurring or of an ongoing nature.

- Assists the Superintendent, Religious Affairs or Chaplain in ensuring volunteers complete a Child Care Criminal History Background Check and comply with line-of-sight supervision requirements in accordance with DoDI 1402.05.

With the assistance of the band and praise team, lead rehearsals/worship services for the chapel through a relevant contemporary Christian musical program, as approved by the Service Chaplain;

Coordinate with the Service Chaplain in the selection of music, to include compiling a song list and providing it in advance of rehearsal/worship for review and approval. The Service Chaplain reserves the right to alter the song selection if it does not meet the needs of the service as determined by the Wing Chaplain, Service Chaplain and/or chapel needs assessments;

Meet as needed with Service Chaplain, chapel staff, band, and/or praise team to discuss pertinent musical issues related to the performance of contractual duties;

Be present at least fifteen (15) minutes before rehearsals and worship services in order to prepare for and perform necessary duties, including setup and operation of chapel sound equipment used for the worship services;

Present a neat appearance and traditional business casual dress practices for religious services and activities (for any questions contact Chaplain over respective service); and

Maintain responsibility for cleanliness and orderliness of all facilities and spaces used by the contractor in performance of this task;

Provide 52 units of musical support for Protestant Worship Services:

- Rehearsal: Two Rehearsals per Week, approximately one hour each, per Protestant Worship Service.

- Protestant Worship service: Approximately one-and-a-half-hour service.

- Special Services: Perform 10 additional units for special services that include Christmas service, Good Friday service, quarterly Sunday Evening services and other services as needed/requested.

Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws and requirements and applicable Air Force Instructions, local Operating Instructions, policies and directives as they relate to chapel services and religious education programs.
