We are currently hiring for a Protective Services Worker…..As a Protective Services Worker you would be responsible for crisis intervention, advocacy, and management of service delivery to resolve the crisis issues and protect the safety and security needs of the elder within the parameters of the program. Monday- Friday, 9a-5p, 34 hours/ week plus unpaid one hour lunch each day. $33.92 per hour
What do you need to be considered for this position?
- Ability to collaborate, take initiative, provide/ receive feedback.
- Ability to communicate, build rapport and work with the elderly and community resources serving the elderly population.
- Ability to work independently and professionally.
- Excellent computer skills required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid MA driver’s license and car required
- A Master’s degree from an accredited school in social work, psychology, counseling, human development, nursing, or gerontology plus at least one year of experience in counseling or case management preferably in a PS or crisis intervention capacity OR a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school listed above plus at least two years’ experience as above.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Travel throughout the service area including the Islands. Occasional off-Cape travel.
