In this role, you are responsible for working with our Facilities Management Division’s team of subject matter experts to develop accurate and compelling responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) to both win and retain business. In-office presence required 3-4 days a week with some remote work flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Reviews RFPs and develops technical proposal outlines.
- Serves as lead creator of content for the business development team, preparing proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals.
- Works cross-functionally with subject matter experts on the business development and operations teams to develop content that both meets defined RFP requirements and is influential to the reader.
- Ensures proposals are highly organized and meet specifications regarding order, clarity, brevity, style, and terminology.
- Manages and improves upon existing library of technical content, evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate content.
- Manages business development content/completed proposals digitally stored in an efficient and accessible manner.
- Active participant throughout the proposal life cycle.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Research and write original proposal content in response to various government and commercial contract opportunities from inception to delivery.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting solicitation documents to develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, schedules, and other required proposal components to ensure proposals meet solicitation requirements.
- Ability to review/rewrite proposal inputs.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Deadline-oriented.
- Proficiency in all MS Suite and Adobe products
Education and Experience:
- Experience in the commercial and government proposal process.
- Knowledge of various government procurement vehicles.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, Writing, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of proposal writing experience with documented track record in writing winning proposals.
- Knowledge of the facilities management or construction industry is highly desired.
