Arc Aspicio is hiring a Junior Associate, Proposal Coordination and Business Operationsto support our consulting firm in writing and coordinating proposals for our clients and supporting Business Operations and recruiting. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and has great organizational skills. They like to collaborate and have an interest in growing the company and the team as we serve Federal government clients. They can operate in a dynamic environment and are willing to learn, contribute, and take on leadership opportunities.    

This role is ideal for someone with at least one year of experience working in a professional, business environment where excellent writing and communications skills are important. They loves to learn and take on new responsibility. They are interested in our consulting practice and helping the company grown through strategy and efficient Business Operations. Experience in editing and writing, communications, and Business is highly relevant.      

Arc Aspicio is currently working in a hybrid work environment where work happens at the Arc Aspicio DC office, and, as approved, remotely on a part-time basis. All candidates must live in the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC area at the time of employment.
Responsibilities     

  • Lead and support writing and editing compelling proposals and other documents to help the company grow through new business
  • Support and lead internal initiatives and coordinate proposal development from inception to submission, collaborating with people across the company
  • Support company marketing and communications
  • Support Business Operations including but not limited to: time and expense reporting, invoicing, and other financial-oriented Business Operations tasks
  • Support efforts in recruiting and interview new potential employees, then support their orientation
  • Participate as a key team member in our Enterprise team that supports our project teams as they delivery for our clients
  • Apply excellent writing, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend and implement solutions to make the company grow and operate more efficiently
  • Love to learn and grow into owning multiple workstreams
  • Support initiatives that help the company implement its Strategic Plan
  • Contribute towards our learning culture, where people put team, client, and company interests ahead of their own, by demonstrating interest in supervising and supporting the growth of others
  • Take advantage of company opportunities to develop leadership and consulting skills and thrive in a fast growth environment

Required Qualifications:     

  • At least 1 year of experience in a related professional environment, including writing and communications in a business environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and love of collaboration
  • Great writer and technical editor and relevant experience in writing client-ready professional documents
  • Interest in learning how the company works and then teaching others and has strong ambition and leadership potential
  • Excellent skills in strategic communications and ability to create compelling presentations and proposals
  • Strong interest in working in a consulting firm and entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to learn business concepts
  • Great organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and workstreams in a dynamic environment with the ability to take initiative 
  • Enthusiasm to collaborate with others and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projects
  • Desire to join a company and team and stay for the long-term, gaining more leadership and supervisory responsibility
  • Excellent work ethic in a dynamic, complex, and challenging environment and self-motivated with the ability to take on more responsibility quickly
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-person
  • Proven to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership potential
  • Technological savvy with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools (SharePoint preferred) and data analysis platforms
  • Ability to focus and pay attention to detail while remaining focused on a strategic, big picture
  • Clearance: U.S. Citizenship only (no dual citizenship)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Critical Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, resilience, loves to learn, excited to engage and build relationships
