Job Description
The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston is accepting applications for the position of Property Inspector
for our three AMP properties. There are three openings for this position. The position is temporary and scheduled to end on September 30, 2020.
This is responsible technical work assisting the Property Manager and Assistant Property Manager in all aspects of administering
the public housing program on behalf of program participants; conducting Housing Quality Standards inspections, property inspections, work order input, and visual inspections of the grounds. This position will ensure departmental compliance with all laws and regulations and have strong organizational, interpersonal and excellent observational skills, sufficient strength and agility to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job in a variety of weather conditions.
Minimum qualifications are: High school diploma or GED and at least two years’ experience in residential and multi-family building
maintenance and inspections or any equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the following critical knowledge, abilities and skills. Candidates must possess a valid state
driver's license.

The starting salary for this position is $16.15/hour.
