Position Summary:
-Under administrative direction, manages a Branch Claims Office with the objective of minimizing the indemnity and expense impact on combined loss ratio.
Essential Job Functions:
-Implements current and long-range department objectives necessary to ensure adequate reserve levels and to discharge the policyholder liabilities in a timely, efficient and equitable manner.
-Represents the Branch in its relationships with agents, insures, vendors, etc.
-Responsible for overall management and reporting of problems, effective resolution, and closure for all problems of significant scope, urgency or business impact related to critical IT production services, systems, and processes.
-Develops and coordinates implementation of policies and procedures, process controls, performance metrics, and service level agreements.
-Collects and analyzes information, sets incident threshold and escalation criteria, performs immediate assessment of scope and impact, and ensures plan development with specific corrective/containment action for resolution.
Education:
-Worker characteristics are normally acquired through completion of an undergraduate 4-year program
Experience:
-5 - 7 years of experience with 2 - 3 years in a supervisory capacity preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
