About the Role
The Guam Pricing Manager will oversee all aspects of Conventional pricing, including, but not limited to, multi-trade quoting, preparing detailed analysis with Operations - including strong knowledge of vessel slots/voids, stowage, and terminal costs at each location. The Manager will prepare the appropriate quotation after capturing any/all costs associated with the move to include intermodal shipments, possibly arranged by our sister company, Matson Logistics. This position will need to work well with a multitude of internal stakeholders, ensuring expected margins are commensurate with the total move from origin to destination, including any voided vessel slots. Since this will be covering multi-trades, the Manager will need to be well-versed in all applicable services for Matson.
What you'll do:
- Evaluate rate proposals for pricing actions while gathering full cost details from internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and file documents consistent with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage pricing personnel and oversee pricing decisions.
- Consult with other areas of the organization such as Operations, Law, Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing to ensure the company's best interests are protected in Conventional pricing matters.
- Respond to bids in formats dictated by clients.
- Research, prepare, and maintain documents related to transportation agreements including trucking.
- Review, on a continual basis, the Company's revenue, and contribution goals.

And these qualifications:
- Degree in transportation, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum seven (7) years of experience in pricing, sales, or operations for an ocean transportation business.
The annual salary range for this position in California is $111,300 - $151,500. The salary offered will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
