Sales and Consulting
- Identify and develop insurance prospects through referrals from other Client Executives
and centers of influence. - Design insurance plans and recommend coverages to clients.
- Make sales presentations to prospective and existing clients on new and renewal business.
- Explain purchased coverages to clients and prospective clients.
- Ask for referrals from clients to help generate new business.
- Work with clients to ensure coverage adequacy and identify M3 resources needed to service client needs.
- Accept and handle duties/prospects as assigned by agency management.
- Create a system to maintain contact with clients on a regular basis to share insurance
information and advice. - Cross-sell agency services.
- Adhere to M3's documented sales process.
- Deploy resources appropriate with the size of the account.
Retention and Service
- Work with clients to build long-lasting relationships.
- Review existing policy coverages, at least annually, to upgrade accounts and re-market, if necessary; negotiate with carriers (rates, coverages and exceptions).
- Maintain accurate account level information in EPIC.
- Proactively work on upcoming renewals to ensure services are completed timely and accurately.
- Provide customer service in-house and in-the-field resolving claim, billing and late premium problems and accurately documenting EPIC with service records.
- Process new and renewal business, proposal requests and make EPIC system changes.
- Work with insurance carriers as necessary to ensure proper issuance.
- Review policies, amendments or quotes for accuracy.
- Process terminating policies and customers in EPIC.
- Compose and type general correspondence to clients and related interest.
Personal and Organizational Development
- Participate in sales meetings.
- Identify training needs with assistance from managers.
- Develop a personal improvement plan and take responsibility for learning and improving technical and sales skills regularly.
- Effectively manage workload, appointments and monthly sales goals in an organized fashion.
- Understand agency policy and procedures, customer service standards, and comply with
Employee Handbook and Office Manual and Procedure Guide. - Maintain positive relationships with other M3 employees and insurance companies.
