- Proofread work to alleviate grammatical and typographical errors, ensure consistency in voice and tone, and maintain adherence to client standards across channels
- Ensure work meets quality expectations for client and internal requests, ensuring work is free of error, easily digestible and resonates across audiences and cultures, keeping current political and socioeconomic environments top of mind
- Advocate for assigned clients’ brands, ensuring oversight in culturally appropriate messaging and the appropriate dissemination of advertising collateral of their behalves
- Maintain style guide for list of assigned clients
- Ensure editorial process is adhered to across list of assigned clients
- Assist in oversight of translation projects from estimate to execution, setting and adhering to deadlines, and retrieving estimates from vendors and freelancers in compliance with scope of work
- Manage administrative components for assigned translation requests such as contracts, budgets and NDAs; assess risks and take corrective measures
- Standardize British English spelling for projects as assigned/requested
- Four years of related work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism or a similar field
- Familiarity with the Macintosh platform with extensive experience using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and Google (Word Docs, Google Sheets) products and Adobe Acrobat
- Excellent knowledge of grammar rules
- In-depth knowledge of standard guides, especially AP Style
- Must have excellent writing, editing and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professional interaction with coworkers and management is expected, as is the ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of international marketing requirements and effective messaging across global audiences
- Research capabilities to determine culturally appropriate terminology
