Project Specialist

BHS Corrugated is seeking a Project Specialistto join our growing team in our Hanover Park, IL facility!

Job Description:

The Project Specialist will be responsible for planning, tracking development, and deploying deliverables for new technologies, products, and process launches. Areas of responsibility include communications, training, stakeholder engagement, organizational readiness analysis, and overall project impact, as applicable for specific deployment projects to drive successful launches & implementations. This is a hybrid position requiring normal office visits and up to 20% travel.

Job Responsibilities:

• Implementation and support of change initiatives within the organization, focusing on our service and maintenance technicians.
• Create, contribute, and administer project management strategies, with plans, and activities, that lead to the success of initiatives and further service capabilities.
• Define and execute project plans, with emphasis on the identification of needed resources, communication methods, and other transition activities to successfully launch a program.
• Develop, design, plan, and implement programs, resources, and processes that support initiatives within the lifecycle team.
• Create a standardized implementation process for new equipment launches.
• Serve as a cross-functional lead to break down communication blocks, organizational silos or other organizational issues that might stand in the way of timely execution of any initiatives.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or organizational development area.
• 2 – 3 years of professional experience in project management, preferably in international organization. Project management certifications are a plus.
• Very good analytical skills, that include assertiveness and persuasion capabilities.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills are a must.
• Ability to build cross-function relationships, apply critical thinking and take the initiative to drive.
• Project management skills that ensure milestones/goals are met, adhering to approved budgets/personnel.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit at a desk for 8 hours a day as this position will require being in our offices.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Visual acuity and field of vision.
• Ability to hear and speak to understand, respond to and build relationships.
• 10 – 20% travel to BHS sites domestically as well as some international travel to our parent in Germany.
• Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and applicable content development software.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time position offering $75k to $85k + full benefits as seen below!
