Description
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the successful launch of "Phase 2" site preparation, equipment installation and ramp-up of production. This includes the daily management of internal Wellmade staff of mechanical, electrical, rigging, PLC programming team members as well as external contractor for site power, water, compressed air, utilities, materials, warehouses, and support equipment as needed.
Major Function and Scope
The following job description and duties performed by the individual is not to be all inclusive. It focuses on the major duties of the position.
- Manage the company's "Phase 2" implementation functions to meet timing and budgeted financial goals.
- Provide directional and technical support and to installation and operational readiness in the most efficient manner for all concerned including tracking (Gantt Chart) and daily updates.
- Electrical, Mechanical, Construction, Programing, Facilities and Operational expertise in theory AND in hands on application of the all the above disciplines.
- Improve the effectiveness of the Company's capital (return on investment) ROI.
- Development of internal maintenance workforce.
- Expertise in flooring and extrusion, UV, and Profile manufacturing.
- Good leadership and negotiation skills.
- Connected in the contracting community, person knowledge of top-level resources.
- Attract, retain, and motivate people to improve the company's performance.
- Report daily on key aspects of the "Phase 2" implementations, this must include any setback or delays in the timeline. This must be reported immediately to the leadership team in Cartersville. President, VP of Operations, Director of Finance, HR Manager, GM, and Maintenance Manager.
- Stay aware of company goals and strategies to ensure projects align with business priorities.
- Facilitate and encourage collaboration across departments to ensure projects are completed successfully.
- Ability to delegate work to team members based on skills and expertise.
- Perform risk management to minimize potential risks.
- Track team performances
- Perform quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge, Experience, and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university in engineering, business or related discipline Required.
- 10 + years of experience in technical support role in manufacturing
- Ability to communicate across a broad range of technical areas.
- Strategic thinker
- Proven project management experience with measurable that can be independently verified.
- Contractor management, tool selection, mechanical, electrical, program management certification is a plus.
- Process innovation experience
Preferred/Desired:
- Need to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow stan adhere to safe work practices in a continuously improving environment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- The ability to work with components constantly along a production effects.
