JOB DESCRIPTION:
- As directed by the Chief of Staff, manages special projects and performs work to support internal business operations and external initiatives for the Office of the President.
- Supports the Chief of Staff in advancing institutional priorities by ensuring the President's preparation for meetings with direct reports, leadership teams, and various campus groups.
- Identifies opportunities for standardization of processes to improve efficiency and enhance the experience of those interacting with the office.
- Serves as the primary liaison for Lullwater House and collaborates with various campus offices that support the property.
- Leads or oversees projects requiring comprehensive research and data analysis.
- Ensures timelines and action plans are completed as intended.
- Collaborates with project team members to ensure integration of relevant business processes.
- Monitors budgets and prepares reports.
- Analyzes data, identifies and summarizes trends and develops executive summaries.
- Conducts research, develops agendas, and prepares materials and presentations for meetings.
- Organizes and preserves meeting materials for future reference.
- Plans and organizes all aspects of special events and retreats.
- Develops and executes work plans, and ensures or facilitates appropriate follow up.
- Drafts communications such as articles, presentations and reports.
- Reviews and responds to correspondence; refers requests to colleagues, as appropriate.
- Researches issues, determines and facilitates appropriate actions to communicate information or resolve concerns, as needed.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, communications or a related field and five years of project management, business operations, executive support or related experience.
- Proficiency in the use of office technology, including the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
- Data analysis and budget management experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
