Overview
Designs, establishes and coordinates production activities relating to Digitization Project (as assigned by the Corporate Monitor) to be performed at the Innovation At Work (IAW's) Operations Center in Columbia, South Carolina. Activities includes: designing production workflows, developing process and implementation strategies, specifying equipment and technology, testing and refining processes to ensure production efficiencies and quality standards are maintained, coordinating the launch of the production process with Scanning Technicians, and monitoring the production process throughout the term of the project. Also serves as subject matter expert and operations point of contact for customers of Digitization Project as well as assisting with customer service activities as related to the Project. Works in close coordination with on-site various teams such as Quality Control, Scanning Technician, Supply Chain and Logistics teams. In addition, the position requires assisting with customer needs analysis, prepare presentations on project status, project control, project cost, and project risks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning and directing project activities and setting production project priorities in line with efficient operations and cost factors.
- Confers production and quality control standards and procedures with the Operations Management.
- Inspect project progression and monitors to verify compliance with specifications.
- Develops budgets and cost controls to improve project cost efficiency.
- Develop quality standards and with scanning technicians, operators, quality control technicians, to create, implement, evaluate and modify inspection criteria and procedures.
- Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to identify causes of non-compliance with project specifications and operational or manufacturing issues.
- Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operational issues, improve the quality of the product and workflow.
- Review production schedules and clarify priorities resulting from failure of equipment or operating problems.
- Studies production schedules and estimates the requirements for working hours to complete the job assignment.
- Monitors records of time and production.
- Monitors Project statistics are obtained to ensure projected gross margins.
- Mentoring of the team leaders to improve their performance
- Maintaining a good coordination with on-site technician at the site
- Resolving issues departmental issues as and when they arise
- Providing daily, weekly status report on issues/ resolutions, risks/ mitigation plans, customer comments, noticeable happenings at site/ departments to senior management
- Must have in-depth knowledge of the principles of document imaging, imaging mechanics, file structures, file formats, OCR, ICR, OMR & Bar-Code, and methodologies.
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Access, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop software applications.
- Experience and a strong ability to develop process workflows including acute attention to establishing process workflow quality control procedures. In applications such as PSI Capture, Kofax Capture, Kodak Capture Pro or equivalent, you must also have the ability to design and produce document imaging workflows.
- Must have at least six (6) years of experience, managing document scanning operation, preferably in a government on-site environment but not required.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in Project Management; or six to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
