Job Description
Will manage various construction projects ranging from simple to highly complex in a supervisory position. Although this position will be required to oversee multiple project superintendents, the primary responsibility will be to the financial bottom-line of the projects as well as assuring safety, schedule, client (consultant coordination) and utmost quality. The Project Manager role includes planning the schedule, and coordinating all phases of GCX projects, including job cost accounting and billing procedures, liaison with the owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire project lifecycle from project initiation through closure.
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
- Reading and interpreting detailed construction documents and specifications.
- Take leadership role in communicating with project team regarding Drawings, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.
- Create, execute, monitor, and revise project plan to meet changing project requirements and resources; plan, prepare for and facilitate all project status meetings; manage resolution of project issues including proper escalation to project stakeholders.
- Drafting and managing subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Developing and maintaining detailed budgets and schedule of values.
- Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards excepted.
- Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needs or financing for the project change.
- Resolution of issues or problems involving material delivery, contract administration, and labor disputes
- Providing recommendations to the construction Project Manager or clients on all pertinent issues
- Managing of Site Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Team Coordinators.
- Overall project knowledge (plans, engineering, site conditions, etc.).
- Maintain project schedule.
- Establish initial project budget from design documents including conceptual SD, CD, IFC).
- Manage value engineering process as needed.
- Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.

- Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals and minimize risk to company.
- Leadership role in collaboration with project teams to facilitate on time and budget delivery.
- Filing and obtaining permits or approval of revisions.
- Assist in identifying & hiring new staff, and training & mentoring. Maintain the Company’s safety program.
