Mission of the Position
The Project Manager, Process, Method and Tool Integration will work as part of the Global Process, Method and Tool Management team to provide global service to the product engineering organization. This person will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Process, Method and Tool and IT system portfolio, software licensing, initiatives/projects, and coordinate global efforts for the implementation and roll-out of these projects for the Powertrain Troy office. The person will act as the local site representative responsible for configuring updates, access control management, managing the ticket system (Matrix42), license monitoring and management and asset management. In addition, also provide tools trainings and Tool support to the product engineering organization. This role requires strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, strong leadership, and control of the work process from beginning to end is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate with existing project teams and perform the activities of the project in accordance with the eProject plan.
- Track all Product Engineering relevant internal and external IT tool initiatives/projects, maintaining cost, timing and status
- Define action items for deviations together with the project team and track the resolution of these findings
- Lead consistent steering committee update meetings with the project sponsors to review project status, key risks/issues, and associated mitigation strategies.
- Work closely together with business departments as well as Global IT departments like enterprise architecture, IT Infrastructure or IT Solutions, Software architecture.
- Perform success tracking (achieve satisfaction with / acceptance of project results at project sponsor, customer, and project team).
- Roll-out of Process, Method and Tool projects at Troy Engineering location
- Provide on-going global coordination to engineering functional managers and project teams
- Review Product Engineering departmental demands
- Maintain departmental and site software profiles
- Support harmonization of software tools and systems
- Provide first level software tool support for engineering (for selected IT tools/systems)
- Be the focal point for software license maintenance providing
- Software review and recommendations
- Centralize software costs and budgets and consider OPEX and CAPEX in business plan
- Implementation of license monitoring, compliance, and software usage for engineering in alignment with the Global Tools and processes
- Provide essential software approval support
- Lead Process, Method and IT tool initiatives/projects, e.g. roll-out of new IT system
- Work with the local IT Departments for the Engineering locations to defined common processes and guidelines for the use of Software Asset Management capabilities in the tool Matrix42
- Work with the Global team for the roll-out of Prototype & Testing Management tool (PROTEIN) in alignment with the global engineering sites
- Support the integration and interfacing of IT service management and Business Process Management tools with and integrated Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool
- Provide weekly reports from the relevant IT tools showing Key Performance Indicators, trends, underutilization/overutilization, IT tools compliance, incidents, etc as per alignment with Engineering

Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field required.
- Working knowledge of PLM, Application Lifecycle Management software (ALM) or similar required
- Experience in software development in Java or Python required
- Experience with SQL and PowerBI preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as teamwork skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- 3-5 years related work experience in product engineering organization requried
- Demonstrated organizational and analytical skill with the ability to work within deadlines but also be adaptable to change.
- Experience working with/reporting out to senior management strongly preferred.
- Experience working with different groups and facilitating a team atmosphere.
Work Environment
Office environment, 10% travel required.
While working in this environment, the employee will be exposed to machinery, moving equipment and material, moderate noise, airborne particles, fumes, and various levels of temperature created by manufacturing processes.
