The Associate Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting and assisting the Project Manager in planning, executing, and closing projects within established timelines and budgets. This position requires a strong ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that project objectives are met and stakeholders are satisfied. The Associate Project Manager will be involved in various aspects of project management, including planning, monitoring progress, addressing challenges, and contributing to the overall success of projects.
This role is located at our headquarters in North Reading, MA and requires on-site presence.
- Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Contribute to the creation of project documentation, including project charters and schedules.
- Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Schedule and lead regular project meetings, providing updates on project status and addressing issues.
- Act as a liaison between different project teams to ensure smooth collaboration.
- Track project progress and ensure that milestones are achieved within established timelines.
- Prepare regular status reports for project stakeholders and management.
- Identify and report any deviations from the project plan, proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in identifying potential risks and issues that may impact project success.
- Work with the Project Manager to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Assist in resource allocation and management to ensure optimal project performance.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure they have the necessary resources and support.
- Contribute to the implementation of quality control processes to ensure project deliverables meet defined standards.
- Participate in project reviews and lessons learned sessions to improve future project execution.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Address client/stakeholder concerns promptly and professionally.
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
- Prior experience in a project management or coordination role is desirable but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in project management, business administration, or a related field.
