Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, this leader will support the portfolio management & execution of strategic initiatives for CVS Health Enterprise Medical Affairs.
As a key member of the Enterprise Medical Affairs team, the Project Manager of Performance & Implementation will ensure the execution of key activities to drive forward clinical strategy for CVS Health, beginning first within the Caremark division, with the possibility of growth into other businesses for critical Medical Affairs priorities. The Project Manager of Performance & Implementation will support senior Medical Affairs leaders in the execution of their portfolio, with responsibilities for project management, priority setting, and reporting processes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting interdisciplinary strategic development and implementation of high priority programs including workstreams related to service performance, customer satisfaction, clinical operations, quality& safety, network development, payer contracting, business operations, and technology.
- Work with Enterprise Medical Affairs leadership to determine key performance indicators, how to measure team performance, and the processes to communicate progress towards goals
- Ensuring milestones are properly defined and achieved for a variety of work streams.
- Monitor progress on portfolio priorities, proactively identify and solve execution issues, and maximize the speed and quality of execution for the Enterprise Medical Affairs portfolio
- Drive productivity and quality improvements through process streamlining and automation to achieve best in class service and lowest cost to serve
- Keep senior leadership informed of key performance insights and critical issues on an ongoing basis including preparing and presenting reports detailing the status of specific initiatives to inform decision-making processes
- Facilitating senior executive communications to secure alignment on clinical strategy.
- Support and/or lead special projects and initiatives as needed
- Provide leadership team with recommendations to improve performance and execution across the organization
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of work experience in healthcare strategy and operations
- Ability to lead in a highly matrixed organization
- Exemplary focus on delivery and execution
- Highly organized, detail oriented, proficient analytical ability, with effective listening and presentation skills and ability to manage sophisticated project
- Proven experience as a leader who clearly communicates with and engages leaders, clinical community, and team members in establishing a culture of openness, trust, and continual improvement
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Pharmacy Benefits Management pricing, contracting, strategy, or networks
- Working knowledge of payor, provider, and product segments of the healthcare and pharmacy industry
- Demonstrated ability developing analysis, presentations, and supporting material to successfully implement strategy or change management initiatives
- Experience with Utilization Management Programs

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$69,300.00 - $152,600.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
