POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Project Manager, Creative Services is responsible for driving Marketing projects through the creative process to deliver on time, on budget and aligned with objectives. Streamline creative workflows by coordinating resources effectively, minimizing bottlenecks and keeping projects on track. Act as point of contact between Creative team and Marketing/ business partners.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and communicate creative timelines in cooperation with cross-functional partners.
- Regularly meet with Marketing Project Managers to scope work needed, wrangle feedback, maintain project momentum, and diagnose any issues.
- Work with creatives to collect and clarify creative feedback.
- Manage agency and freelance capacity tracking and working with creative leadership to assign new projects.
- Ensure that objectives and vision of projects are clearly understood and that creatives have necessary specs and inputs to deliver on expectations.
- Schedule and manage creative reviews. Gather submissions and compile pre-reads. Manage meetings, notes and send out recaps.
- Proactively anticipate obstacles and trouble-shoot. Facilitate finding creative solutions to keep projects on track to deliver successfully, even in the face of unexpected changes / challenges.
- Manage files (e.g. filing or archiving briefs / paperwork and searching through past creative that can be re-used.)
- Manage creative deliverables.
- Develop and manage Creative Services SOP’s.
- Manage social media creative projects / shoots.
- Manage store sign list development.
- Provide backup project management support for other projects when needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
- 8+ years project management experience required.
- 8+ years of experience in a marketing department or agency in a project management or Creative Services management role preferred.
- PMP highly desired.
- Strong, high-energy team player with problem-solving aptitude and ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Strong ability to trouble-shoot, anticipate obstacles and adapt to changing needs and circumstances.
- Familiar with marketing in-house or agency creative development process.
- Knowledge of Workfront or equivalent Project Management/Trafficking Tool
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to work overtime as necessary
