The Opportunity:
The Information Technology department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee the design, planning, and implementation of innovative technology projects supporting the University’s strategic planning initiatives in a teleworking arrangement. This role includes leading the project team, coordinating across the overall program, planning, scope, risk and schedule management and troubleshooting. An in-depth understanding of Project Management Methodologies, such as Waterfall and Agile and the ability to leverage the most appropriate methodology to manage the project successfully is required. This role involves analyzing new and complex project-related problems and creating innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools, and solution components.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required and at least five years of technical project management experience.
- Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or other Project Management (PM) professional certification preferred.
- Demonstrated planning skills and a proven ability to lead teams in a multi-project environment
- Strong leadership, negotiation, problem solving, risk analysis, project methodology, and team building skills.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to communicate with various levels of users to understand to problem. Must maintain a positive, professional image.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills. Experience with project managements tools and techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of the application of computing technology in support of administrative and/or academic systems.
- Knowledge of network technologies as they relate to the operational capabilities of shared systems architecture.
- Ability to learn new things and keep up with the pace of change in technology.
- Ability to collect the appropriate information from the user to expedite the resolutions to problems. Demonstrate good judgment in investigating and escalating problems.
- Demonstrate ability to tactfully handle difficult situations and ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Consistently show ability to recognize and deal with priorities. Recognize and perform duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned-assisting others as needed.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships with University and other Campus Information Technology staff members.
- Seek guidance and direction as necessary for performance of duties.
