Location: Hayward, CA
Pay: $90K year + DOE (+ quarterly bonus)
Summary: Responsibilities include but are not limited to managing installation projects with large scale commercial customers in electronic security, access control and surveillance from start to finish. You will work closely with the General Manager and senior management team by performing the following duties.
Installation Responsibilities:
- Schedule all installations and communicate schedule to employees, customers, and
branch manager. - Schedule vacation/training schedule for your team
- Request / recommend training for your team
- Work with lead installation technicians as needed to coordinate access control, CCTV,
alarm, or other projects as assigned. - Work with vendors, as required, on service and project.
- Keep Master Installation Spreadsheet (MIS) up to date.
- Provide installation budgets, job folders, and other information as needed to lead
installation technicians starting new installs that week. - Ensure all installation jobs stay within or under budget.
- Coordinate necessary change orders with customer, technician, and senior management
team. - Complete all installations from start to finish including reviewing initial quote, scheduling
install, and staying within budget. - Ensure all completed installations have a valid installation
completion form prior to invoicing, match up work for invoicing, and provide wrap up folder
to customer. - Perform quality assurance visits to customer sites where installations are being
performed. Provide support to the installation team as needed because of these visits. - Update all communications with customer when installation time changes and maintain
internal calendar and communications accordingly. - Build and maintain change / problem / issue logs for each job (to be reviewed in project
post-mortem). - Ability to survey, calculate labor and parts for proposal requests.
- Ability to build smaller proposals as requested by local contacts.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Management/Administrative Responsibilities:
- Provide weekly schedule and report on all installations and service to General Manager,
CFO, and President. - Perform employees' annual review including proper documentation for employee file and
recommended salary change. - Assist in Interviewing and evaluating potential candidates for employment.
- Review over/under billing and WIP report weekly and inquire with service dispatch on
calls that have significant costs that remain unbilled. Print job probability detail sheet
weekly and compare with warehouse Inventory. - Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
HS Diploma or GED equivalent; three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
