Position Overview
The Project Manager is held accountable for all aspects of the aircraft visit, including proper use of manpower, coordination with other management, constant communication with the customer and guaranteeing compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
- The Project Manager is responsible for safety, quality, on time delivery and financial results of their project
- Ensure that the coordination and communication between the Lead Mechanic and Supervisors is continuous, produces acceptable productivity, and provides a smooth transition between shifts.
- Manage assigned projects in the most effective manner eliminating waste and improving productivity.
- Must be adequately versed in all aspects of their assigned project, reviewing man-hours along with technical and critical path oversight
- Ensure open communication with the customer on a daily basis.
- Build and promote positive employee morale, focusing on teamwork, culture, and growth
- Coordinate with the Planning Department to establish project schedule, set goals and establish budget
- Ensure cleanliness and organization for all assigned work areas
- Execute project targets and goals, ensure Sr. Operations Manager is notified of all deviations from plan
- Assure facilities, equipment and tooling are in safe operating condition.
- Assure employees wear and properly use personal protective equipment and work in a safe manner.
- Participate in daily staff status briefings.
- Assure employees are properly trained to efficiently perform required tasks.
What you need (Requirements)
- A&P License required.
- 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience with a minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience or 2 years demonstrated supervisory ability within HAECO.
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to interact with a wide variety of people.
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft Office suite and HAECO's MAJIC system
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Subject to continuous loud noises.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb stairs, ladders and/or service stands.
- Normal or corrected hearing.
- Visual acuity must be a minimum of 20/40 corrected and must be able to distinguish color.
- Frequent exposure to the outside hangar areas for job duties, meetings, and employee relations functions for varying lengths of time.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Project Management experience with formal Project Management training
