Project Manager

Job Description:The Project Manager has overall responsibility for facilitating the planning and execution of product and launch projects in terms of development, launch execution, and post launch evaluation.  The Project Manager will partner with the Project Champion (whomever is leading the project), to facilitate and manage the scoping, planning, and timing of any given project.  This role is responsible for leading project teams to successfully plan and execute projects.  This will allow for focus on execution, improved visibility to risks and issues, and will help to establish a culture of discipline and excellence in execution.What are we looking for?Undergraduate degree in Business or related field3yrs business experience, 2yrs Project Management experience @ Mars (consumer facing)Experience across multiple business functionsExperience with leading highly visible, highly critical OGSM projects with consistent Sr. Leadership exposure & accountabilityProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft ProjectAdvanced understanding and management of Project Management tools and processesWhat will be your key responsibilities?Project Management: Lead from Charter Development to Post-Launch Review.  Develop all Gate documents to support the project life cycle using Mars’ in-house QuEST process, facilitate the cross-functional team to define the Critical Success Factors (CSF’s), conduct the Risk Assessment & timeline. Understand the business process and use it to plan and deliver the project to the highest levels. Coordinate with Cross-functional partners to ensure Post-Launch Review is completed in timely manner and learnings are incorporated into subsequent projects. Building Effective Teams: Responsible for leading weekly project team meetings, resolve cross-functional issues, and manage the communication flow between all functions and levels within the organization. Keep team members motivated to achieve commitments. Project Governance: The role governs adherence of projects to the Mars’ QuEST stage gate process. Responsible for presenting project status, gate documents, risk, and risk mitigations to periodic Brand Forum(s)Commitment to Quality: Demonstrate a quality culture in actions, words, and spirit.
