Project Manager - Event Production

With over 30 years of expertise, Stage Right is a globally recognized live audiovisual event and virtual production services company based in the northern suburbs of Chicago. We specialize in creating impactful in-person and hybrid corporate and association events through our expert services in light, sound, video, pre-production, and production management. Utilizing our proprietary StageCraft™ production planning process, we consistently deliver innovative, budget-conscious, and flawless productions, satisfying hundreds of clients across thousands of events in North America, South America, Europe, and Asia since 1991. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in the successful execution of our projects.

Responsibilities:

• Work with clients to ensure all production needs are met.
• Input all production requirements into the system.
• Collaborate with the Director of Production Development to deliver quotes to clients with required profit margins.
• Create CAD or Coordinate with CAD designers to ensure designs work in real-world environments.
• Schedule deliveries and logistical needs to adhere to established schedules.
• Interface with production venues to establish access, technical requirements, and budgets.
• Schedule Stage Right staff and book freelancers.

Pre-Production Management:

• Gather production information from clients, including technical requirements, budgets, and timelines.
• Coordinate equipment, labor, and transportation needs.
• Provide job quoting and order CAD designs.
• Manage sub rentals logistical responsibilities, including scheduling deliveries and coordinating with venues.
• Book labor, both from our existing network and freelance production staff.
• Work closely with the Director of Production Development to ensure quotes meet profit margins and limit risks to budget overages.

Remote Production Management:

• Support on-site staff during managed productions to ensure client satisfaction.

Post-Production Management:

• Conduct debriefing meetings with on-site management to report any issues or opportunities for improvement after each project.
• Reconcile final invoicing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience in rental and staging operations.
• Ability to create basic or mid level CAD designs preferred but not required.
• Extensive knowledge of audiovisual (AV) and lighting systems.
• Proven record of successfully coordinating rental and staging events.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with Hire Track is preferred but not required
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
