Summary
Leads planning and execution of assigned Credit Union initiatives and projects through all phases of the development lifecycle. Partners with the project sponsor on defining project scope, goals, and deliverables. Monitors and reports quality control throughout the initiative and/or project life cycle to ensure deliverables are executed as planned.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Leads planning and execution of Credit Union initiatives and projects through all phases of the development lifecycle. Works directly with cross functional departments to lead projects through planning and execution. Develops project plans, associated communication documents, and meeting schedules. Ensures timely and effective communication of project expectations to team members and stakeholders. Assists in defining project success criteria and ensures involved parties understand expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Acts as the Project Manager for all project-oriented initiatives. Collaborates with management to determine initiative/project feasibility, risks, and cost benefit analysis in support of business goals
- Partners with the project sponsor on defining project scope, goals, and deliverables for project execution. Manages strategic and tactical project development and execution from beginning to end, including working with the project sponsor to ensure definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables. Coaches, mentors, and motivates project team members and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team and ensures they are addressed so project deliverables occur according to plan.
- Monitors and reports quality control throughout the initiative and/or project life cycle to ensure deliverables are executed as planned. Provides appropriate feedback, coaching and mentoring to ensure high levels of success within the team. Tracks project timelines, milestones, and deliverables using appropriate tools as defined by project management. Reports project roadblocks and changes as necessary based on outline protocols. Conducts project post-mortems and creates recommendations based on project successes. Trains and coaches project teams on established best practices and tools. While seeking ways to streamline work processes for continuous improvement.
