Oakland County is seeking an experienced Project Manager. We are seeking a hands-on, self-starter, critical thinking team player possessing both technical and interpersonal skills. Must be flexible and able to multi-task to meet deadlines set by external agencies to align information technology solutions with business initiatives. The Project Manager will be a key contributor managing a variety of projects, including request for proposals (RFP), infrastructure upgrades, application development, and implementation of COTS/vendor applications with multiple integrations. Should possess high level understanding in the areas of project management methodology, web application programming, document management systems, API, database, and system design. Identification of the technical approach to be used on a given project and manage the system development process. Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and interact at all levels. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group including developers, product owners, subject matter experts, police officers and other emergency services personnel. Advocate for change and effectively communicate project value, including navigating individual viewpoints and building consensus. Manage scope throughout the project duration; Manage detailed project tasks; Manage resources relating to support, maintenance, and enhancements of existing applications for Oakland County Public Safety applications. The primary area of assignment will be working with public safety applications that are critical to supporting Police, Fire and 9-1-1 dispatch centers.
