Responsibilities & Functions
- Lead project teams in the management of tasks, assuring successful delivery of assigned project, maintaining strong customer relationships, and acting as PTI and Customer advocate.
- Assure successful launch of new products by ensuring cost optimization, setting and achieving targets/deadlines, and meeting quality and production volumes.
- Coordinate projects from award stage throughout project phases, reporting, monitoring and tracking ensuring successful adherence and completion within budget and on time: Consistently monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders, facilitating the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Understand full scope requirements to generate all required project documentation: Planning and coordinating project staff, defining and allocating resources and assign project tasks, creation of project charts. Provide direction and support to project team.
- Utilize collected project KPI data to provide direction to internal and external project teams and generate/update project timelines.
- Plan and realize Change Management for development projects and series. Track project scope modifications, generating customer change request.
- Control and lead process of manufacture of initial samples and procurement of standardized manufacturing equipment from suppliers within planned deadlines, technical requirements of product and process, within targeted budgets as project scope.
- Evaluate product lifecycle, risk factors, quality and reliability documentation from suppliers, as DFMEA. Proactively identify/evaluate potential failures of a product, process and its effects, identify actions which could eliminate or reduce occurrence, track and implement changes in order to avoid or eliminate a potential failure.
- Ensure project scope meets industry quality requirements.
- Develop and continually improve a documented process for Product Realization, including supporting the creation of equipment design standards and documentation, IQ/OQ/PQ process. Promote continues improvement in all aspects of the job. Ensure that departmental work methods are compatible with company standards and customer requirements. Utilizing DfM approach to achieve optimal design of products for cost efficient manufacturing processes.
- Assure successful and timely handover of project to operations team, including project related documentation package. Lead and support operations and launch team using problem solving methodologies for project and product non-conformities. Create and track containment and corrective plans when needed.
- Support project setup of production data with material master, bill of materials, rate routings, production versions, etc. in ERP system.
- Work with Account Managers on tracking of contracts and invoice queries, supporting timely resolution and payment schedule.
- Work with R&D by providing support in defining optimal cost benefits in customer manufacturing concept solutions for new acquisitions. Review, analyze, and offer Value Analysis/Value Engineering options to customer specifications and requirements. Manage qualification kick-off and ongoing stage gate meetings.
- Participate in technical discussions for the organization e.g., analyze new processes, cost analysis, customer meetings, RFQ analysis, new technologies, etc.
- Coordinate the preparation of Project and investment proposals with R&D Engineering and Finance.
- Support the preparation of yearly investment plan with Commercial team. Accurately forecast project management revenue to support S&OP and site forecast process.
- Evaluate test reports and analyze data to ensure satisfaction of customer requirements.
- Attend Client web meetings, or visits for assigned projects. Plan, support and communicate customer, supplier and related visits, create follow up actions. Proactively react to customer needs, adopting a committed approach and providing high-level customer service.
- Support development and onboarding of new suppliers, following internal policies and procedures.
- This role will lead projects in both PTI locations Royston, GA and Union, MO.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
