Job Description

Company Information

Triton Technical is a specialized technology integrator serving the private mega-yacht industry. We design and deploy complex integrated audio/visual, IT, lighting, and automation systems to clients all over the world. Triton Technical is an IT and Audio/Video integration firm that designs and deploys complex integrated systems for the private mega-yacht industry. We have a high-energy, fast-paced, exciting, and collaborative environment, and we need to add a qualified individual to our team.

Position Summary

Triton Technical's Project Managers are responsible for ensuring that the execution of projects meet all expectations and leave a lasting positive impression once completed. Our exclusive niche market is driven by word of mouth, and Project Managers must be dedicated to creating exceptional experiences with every interaction. This requires continual coordination with clients' representatives, outside vendors, and a multitude of internal team members across all departments to drive a project's success from start to finish. A Project Manager must take intentional action to keep everyone on the same page, develop and follow through on schedules, adapt to dynamically changing conditions, and manage adjustments to expectations on the fly. Project Managers are supported by a great team of like-minded co-workers who are passionate about what we get to do.

Achieving Success in This Role

A Project Manager's success will be determined and measured, in large part, by their ability to:

  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and timely communications that effectively address needs and drive momentum forward.
  • Develop detailed schedules and continually manage resources in adherence to them.
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal team members from various departments to ensure that project needs are being met.
  • Support project teams in preparation for and during onsite deployments.
  • Complete projects within time and budget expectations.

This position's responsibilities are not technical, but high technical awareness and comprehension is required. The ability to understand the technical solutions Triton provides and competently participate in discussions pertaining to them is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Have fun and be passionate about what you do! Understand that your attitude dramatically impacts the experience you create for our customers and team.
  • Be diligent in completing your responsibilities and following through on commitments.
  • Coordinate and complete international projects remotely (85-95%) and onsite (5-15%), ensuring all deliverables are met within time and budget expectations.
  • Maintain a familiarity with Triton's offerings. Understand the deliverables identified in Triton proposals and the impact they have.
  • Create and maintain up-to-date project files and tracking within the appropriate Triton systems.
  • Be flexible, as the need arises, to accommodate those working in time zones across the globe by participating in meetings and calls at various times of the day or night.
  • Engage the necessary resources to address issues and make decisions expeditiously.
  • Coordinate and lead project meetings, including the preparation of agendas, ensuring that notes and action items are documented and tracked.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules that allow for the effective planning and management of resources, and the measurement of progress against milestones.
  • Use project schedules to manage ongoing expectations and drive accountability with internal teams, client representatives, and vendors.
  • Provide regular progress reports to internal and external stakeholders in a cadence appropriate for each project (generally weekly).
  • Coordinate with Triton's Engineering, Integration, and Purchasing teams to ensure the timely identification and procurement of project equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate with Triton's Logistics team to facilitate timely and cost-effective shipping of materials to project locations.
  • Coordinate with Triton's Logistics team, HR team, and relevant managers to plan and book team travel.
  • Quickly identify and communicate project challenges to stakeholders, driving fast escalation as needed to determine options for remediation.
  • Manage internal and external project change orders, encouraging swift input and approvals from Engineering, Sales, and clients' representatives.
  • Own the budget of each managed project and maintain a degree of awareness that allows you to make informed decisions and recommendations based on their health.
  • Present a report at the completion of each project outlining budget adherence, overall project success, and other information critical to assessing quoting and execution practices.
  • Authorize and initiate project invoicing as appropriate throughout each project.
  • Ensure that a comprehensive information handover and relevant training is provided from the project team to clients and Triton's Client Support team at the conclusion of each project.
  • Actively contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the Project Management team and Triton Technical through your participation in team meetings, training, process improvement, and the sharing of information.
  • Own all tasks assigned to you until complete or appropriately and fully handed off.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
