Job Title: Project Manager/Assistant Marketing Manager
Duration: 16 weeks
Hours: 40 hours a week (8-5pm)
Reason for position being open: Covering a maternity leave.
Hyrid- onsite Monday-Thursday and Fridays from home.
Position Overview:
As the Assistant Marketing/ Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the execution of various brand projects and initiatives, fostering brand equity, awareness, and acting as a crucial project coordinator. Your primary responsibilities include supporting the marketing and innovation endeavors of our brand by collaborating closely with sales, product development, operations, and finance teams to stimulate demand. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the strategies and methodologies essential for building a robust and profitable consumer brand, alongside proficient project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual distributor catalog process in collaboration with leadership, brand teams, sales, and customer service.
- Coordinate timelines, meeting agendas, and notes for selected marketing and company initiatives to ensure smooth execution and interdepartmental communication.
- Manage designated marketing project management systems to ensure timely progress of design and brand projects, suggesting frameworks, tools, best practices, and standards.
- Partner with the brand and new products teams to identify new products, product enhancements, and product lifecycle plans.
- Collaborate with the product development team to oversee internal and external testing.
- Assist in managing packaging improvements, encompassing structure, claims/messaging, and cost enhancements.
- Execute brand projects and assignments demonstrating a comprehension of key consumer insights and an ability to integrate them into relevant communications and innovation activities.
- Collaborate with sales, business development, and new channels teams to create marketing communication materials, including POS and training event materials.
- Assist in managing marketing budgets and invoice processing, conducting monthly reconciliation with finance, and providing monthly updates to marketing leadership on budget status.
- Aid in crafting the annual communications plan, incorporating product promotions and launches.
- Regularly monitor, measure, and analyze project and initiative effectiveness, conducting post-initiative analysis and offering recommendations.
- Track brand performance across various platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Shopify, Amazon) and collaborate with marketing leads to establish consistent reporting schedules.
- Assist in providing direction and setting expectations with external marketing agencies.
- Demonstrate proficiency in managing projects within set timelines and budgets, making informed decisions regarding investment alternatives to minimize risk and maximize return.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
1.) Must have excellent project mgmt. skills. Must know how to work with Monday project mgmt. or a comparable system (like Asana, etc)
2.) Able to work in a fast-paced/multi-brand environment. Proven ability to flex among projects and multiple brand priorities.
3.) Excellent organization & communication skills. As you know Caroline really is instrumental in keeping things moving – whether that’s with sales initiatives like tradeshows, flowing labels through the system, organizing spreadsheets for National Spray tanning day, etc.
4.) Great attention to detail
- Capable of working in the areas of business and technical requirements analysis, documentation, modeling and testing methodologies & development
- Candidate must be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction
- It's a bonus if you have a Project Management and/or Business Systems Analyst Certification
- Communicate with executive management, team members, business and technology professionals via both written and oral methods
- Adeptness in Beauty industry
- Shopify experience preferred
- Deep understanding of Asana
- Fashion industry experience
- monday.com experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management
- Versatile project planning abilities that include project costing techniques
- Previous accounting function with a key role in system projects is preferred in aspiring candidates
- Apply independent judgement and act on it
- Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project, SmartSheet or other similar applications mandatory
- 5+ years of prior relevant experience- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance & Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
