TYPE: Full Time - Standard Hours: Mon - Fri 8am -5pm (70% office / 30% field)

Pay ($): $60k - $90k

Job Summary:

As a Project Manager at Spohn Associates Inc., your role is pivotal in planning, managing, supervising, and successfully completing architectural building product installations projects on commercial buildings and projects. You will ensure projects are executed according to quality standards, within deadlines, and budget constraints while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include acquiring resources, coordinating team efforts, and collaborating with subcontractors and principals to deliver projects as planned.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review projects upon award to facilitate a smooth turnover between sales and operations.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents and Project Coordinators to define the overall execution plan for projects.
  • Work closely with Superintendents to ensure project adherence to contract requirements, industry standards, and schedules.
  • Regularly review and update weekly or monthly job status reports.
  • Manage potential schedule delays and promptly communicate extension requests and additional costs per contract terms.
  • Maintain transparent communication within the Spohn team regarding project challenges.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with all parties involved, both internally and externally.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members, customers, principals, and installers.
  • Address questions, concerns, and complaints throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and principals.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and leadership consistently.
  • Maintain professionalism when interacting with installers and Principals.
  • Actively participate in operations meetings.
  • Uphold Spohn's culture and accountability.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Proficiently utilize building scan processes and required software for communication.
  • Determine, verify, and record necessary hard dimensions for accurate scope of work fabrication.
  • Transcribe field dimensions for fabrication purposes when needed.
  • Leverage various media and mobile technology to keep Customers, Principals, and Associates informed.
  • Establish and clearly identify deadlines.
  • Schedule and manage site reviews, field measure trips, installation reviews, and installation/material inspections regularly.
  • Review and update end-of-month reports in a timely manner.
  • Promote Spohn's Safety program consistently.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to comprehend, execute, and manage contracts and purchase orders.
  • Proficiency in preparing accurate proposals and quote requests.
  • Skillful prioritization and delegation abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Must obtain and maintain all required certifications, including but not limited to OSHA, CCS, etc.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of commercial construction experience. PM experience preferred. 
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding construction documents, including architectural, structural, and mechanical specifications.
  • Experience with Metal Panels, Railings, and Skylights is a plus.
  • Experience in managing multiple subcontractors and material suppliers is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple concurrent projects, ensuring on-time installation, and staying within budget.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Willingness to travel to construction sites.
  • Ability to work outdoors in hot and cold weather for various durations.
