Upbound Group Inc Summer 2024 Internship candidates will take part in a ten-week program onsite at our corporate headquarters in Plano, Texas, running from June 3 to August 9, 2024.

What We Are Looking For:
- Paid Internship: $20.00 per hour
- Must be a rising Junior or Senior or recent graduate of an accredited four-year college or university.
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
- Previous work or classroom experience in one of the following is preferred: Project Management
- Employer immigration sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Must be able to work M-F; 8 am – 5 pm onsite at Upbound’s Corporate office in Plano.
- Reliable transportation
What You Will Do:
The Project Management intern will assist the strategic project manager through the project lifecycle. Aid project documentation such as: project plan, action items log, risk log, decision log, meeting notes, steering committee decks, weekly status to executives, etc. Assisting the strategic project managers, you will be working on key initiatives for the company and working with senior leaders and multiple teams to accomplish project goals. You will also experience the soft skills needed that every project manager can leverage.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Aid project documentation such as: project plan, action items log, risk log, decision log, meeting notes, steering committee decks, weekly status to executives, etc.
- Meet with key stakeholders on the project (with strategic project manager) to understand the project and its impact on the business, operations, and customers.
- Along the way, share any thoughts for process or Project Management improvements, tools that may be helpful, etc.
- Attend monthly leadership series meetings to hear from various leaders in the company.
- Store visits to learn about operations and systems used.
- The intern will share a presentation at the end of summer on their experience and what they learned.

You will have an assigned mentor and manager for the duration of the program.
