Project Lead Engineer, PLC for Automation, Factory Integration, Hybrid Dallas
A mid-size client firm, a leader in its industry, is hiring a Project Lead Engineer to lead and manage software solutions for large-scale automated aerospace assembly. The primary focus is on control system configuration and development, including microprocessor-based servo motion control, heating applications, analog and digital sensors, network communication, and graphical user interfaces.

What will you be doing?
- Responsible for overseeing projects, leading, and managing from beginning to end
- Project-based business that oversees a team of engineers to efficiently complete projects
- Presents information and interfaces with customers at various stages
- Works on projects throughout the full software development life cycle, including specification, design, programming, implementation, integration, commissioning, and debugging
- Works in a structured coding environment and participates in projects that involve both software and hardware
- Program in Siemens Scripting or Allen Bradley Scripting
- Work on cross-functional teams with mechanical/electrical design, project management, and manufacturing
- Work directly with the customer to troubleshoot and solve critical problems within the automation system
- Develops and executes functional software test plans to validate project requirements
- Travel to customer sites
What are the minimum qualifications?
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Mechanical, Aerospace, Mathematics, etc.
- Project leadership/management experience
- Senior-level technical skills
- Experience programming in one of the following:
- Siemens Scripting/Siemens PLC programming (TIA-Step 7) or equivalent, WinCC Advanced, WinCC OA, WinCC Flex,OR
- Allen Bradley Scripting, Allen Bradley Studio 5000, FactoryTalk View ME
- Must be able to travel 35% of the time, mostly domestically, with potential for international travel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must
