Purpose of the job
The Project Industrial Data Engineer is the Key User for Industrial Information System Tools as GSI (ERP System), SES (Workorders). He is responsible to:
- Set up the Maintenance Plan and the maintenance strategy for the fleet.
- Prepare the Task lists to be uploaded in GSI, including the work instruction documentation, the list of parts being used, the specific tools being utilized, the requirements for measurement or pass/fail criterias.
- Perform the data uploading in the ERP system, in order to ensure the right execution of the maintenance plan for the fleet, generating the preventive maintenance work orders, the needs for spare parts, the measurement requirements using associated calibrated tools, all following the Maintennace strategy defined for each trainset of the fleet.
- Perform the tests before implementation or update
- Ensure the data migration and eventually pilot the data rework.
- Train the users.
- Participate to the Key Users networkresponsible to industrialize the maintenance, renovation/modernisation or warranty activity at the Depot, Repair Centre or Production site(s) in order to secure the production deliverables.
Responsibilities
The Project Industrial Data Engineer:
- Define data work plan
- Interface with Project Industrialisation for BOM requirements
- Pilot the implementation of the following data in the systems: M-BoM, P-BoM, Routings, Work Centers, Tooling, Purchasing File
- Ensure the consistency of those data between the different systems.
- Manage the impacts of engineering and process changes in the systems.
- Set-up effectivity for application of the changes.
- Ensure accuracy of P-BoMs. Perform audits.
- Build and maintain up to date the Industrial ERP data, including the Bill of Material, the Process routings, the Configuration Management data
- Build and update maintenance strategy and development of maintenance plan, task list and Service Order configuration
- Based on audits & return experience from the field, continously improve, correct the data into the system.
Measurement KPIs
- Accuracy of the Maintenance plan in the ERP vs Engineering Maintenance plan requirement
- Accuracy of the Task Lists (Work Instruction, Spare Parts, Tools, measurement)
- Accuracy of the BoM and the Material Master Data and the Routings.
- Issue resolution response time.
Educational Requirements
- Technical education.
- English read, written, spoken.
Desired Knowledge / Experience
- Strong Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration management
- Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering background with 5 years’ experience preferably in the railway services.
- Basic knowledge of Engineering design and Supply Chain
- Familiar with IS common tools.
