Project Executive, Construction - An exciting key leadership role with Ethan Conrad Construction!

The Project Executive is the senior manager of our construction project team and leads the completion of construction projects from initial bid through completion. The Project Executive's primary responsibilities are customer relationships, exceeding customer expectations, managing project teams, and developing team members. This role reports directly to the President and is a key leader in our construction team of approximately 70 people, focusing on performing the tenant improvements in our buildings as well as the remodeling of our properties.
The Project Executive needs to be an exceptional leader and motivator of people, setting clear performance objectives, empowering the construction teams, and evaluating the performance of direct reports. Championing a safe work environment for all employees by ensuring compliance with various regulations is a critical success factor.
This role will be coordinating closely with the President of ECC to prioritize initiatives, allocate capital and human resources, and recommend process improvements to achieve strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Maximize the Company's performance across our ECC and Property Management business lines
- Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the President, promoting the Company's culture and championing our purpose, mission, and core values
- Serve as a key contributor to the Company's property acquisition / investment decisions, ensuring upfront viability of potential projects identified by the Company's CEO that is engaged in property acquisition and development
- Enact policies and procedures that ensure performance, scalability, and accountability
- Oversee and direct the work of pre-construction, construction operations, and logistics/storage
- Contribute to the development of project-level budgets to achieve the Company's gross margin / profitability targets
- Coordinate Project Manager efforts with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure supply chains are effective and projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, and/or 10 years of applicable field construction management experience
- Strong leadership and team building skills
- Strong technology orientation and construction/project management systems in particular
- Innovative, help us find and create new opportunities for cost savings through standardization and best practice.
- Unquestioned integrity, ability to build and maintain relationship of trust across all departments and levels of the organization, hands-on and solutions-oriented approach, strong on accountability, ability to empower team members and drive execution
- Physical requirements: ability to supervise commercial construction job sites, able to drive to various worksites and assist with work when needed.
