Project Estimator - Direct Hire

Job Summary:

As they continue to expand, they’re seeking a talented Commercial Construction Estimator to bolster their dynamic team.

Locations: Westfield, IN

Position Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday (In Office)

Pay: $75,000 to $95,000 plus annual bonus

Responsibilities/Qualifications: 

·         Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and documents to prepare detailed cost estimates

·         Evaluate materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes for project cost determination

·         Use industry-standard estimation software to create comprehensive cost breakdowns

·         Conduct cost analysis for identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options

·         Stay informed about market trends, labor rates, and material costs for up-to-date estimates

·         Prepare and submit competitive bids, proposals, and presentations to clients

·         Work closely with project management and business development teams for effective bid strategies

·         Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors

·         Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts as needed

·         Maintain accurate records of estimates, proposals, and related documentation

·         Assist in project budget and schedule development

·         Collaborate with various stakeholders for a comprehensive understanding of project requirements

·         Participate in internal meetings to offer insights and recommendations

·         Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred

·         Minimum 4 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Estimator

·         Proficiency in construction estimation software (e.g., Sage, Bluebeam)

·         Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques

·         Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills

·         Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy

·         Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
