Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other correspondence. Schedule, organize, and conduct meetings that include, but are not limited to the following:
o Coordination Meetings
o Staff Meetings
o Project and Program Reviews (e.g., PMRs, SAGs, SERGs, and Joint Services PMO Collaboration - Participate in construction contractor-led meetings in support of the PMO project manager to track the design/construction progress and inform the Government of any issues impacting design/construction activities. Prepare updates/summaries of attended construction contractor meetings. Typical construction contractor meetings include, but are not limited to the following:
o Progress Meetings
o Design Review Meetings
o Construction Review Meetings - Provide technical expertise to the Government in specified meetings with subject matter expert-level knowledge. Participate in meetings to evaluate program and project level activities for the PMO. Capture and deliver minutes of these meetings, upon request.
- Demonstrate knowledge in architecture and engineering to ensure effective meetings with customers, regulators, engineers, and the public, as applicable. Facilitate meetings by assisting the Government in creating agendas, delivering technical presentations, making recommendations for technical issues, and providing meeting minutes.
- Support the PMO at conferences and meetings. Contractor support includes, but is not limited to, meeting setup and invitation, coordination, facilitation, as well as deliverables (graphics, audiovisual equipment, study materials, record keeping, etc.). Maintain records and other information on the SharePoint site, Strategic Calendar, and Conference Room Calendars for the PMO.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or any engineering discipline
- Professional Engineer is highly desirable
- Having a security clearance is highly desirable
- 4 years of experience in construction management including inspection and contractor oversight activities associated with facilities (i.e., buildings, structures, equipment, systems, etc.)
- Ability to manage and coordinate the completion of construction work
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents
- Current OSHA 30-hour training certificate desired
- Proficient in Primavera scheduling software
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suites
- Strong english writing and spoken communication skills
