Project Engineer/Construction Inspector

As a Project Engineer/Construction Inspector, your responsibilities will include construction support for municipal transportation and/or water/wastewater projects.    

• Work as a Project Engineer/Construction Inspector on transportation and water/wastewater projects and work independently on smaller projects 
• Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary technical teams
• Perform under the supervision of a Construction Manager or Senior Engineer
• Contribute in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for projects 
• Provide construction management support and inspection duties on projects 
• Provide excellent client service 
• Perform other related duties as needed 
• Be willing to travel to project sites (project sites in Oregon- Burns, John Day, Ontario, Vernonia, McMinnville, & Forest Grove)

• BS in Civil Engineer (BSCE) -Preferred
• Engineer in Training Certification (EIT) -Preferred
• Equivalent alternate training/work experience will be considered instead of a degree/EIT
• Motivated to develop productive, long-term relationships and communicate with clients, peers, multi-discipline teams, and management 
• A reputation of integrity, intelligence, and the ability to exercise good judgment 

• Ability to work with several subconsultants and internal staff on a multi-disciplinary team 
• Previous Construction Management or inspection experience preferred 
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and MS Project 
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation 
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills 
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with multiple priorities 
• Attention to detail, delivering quality work products and excellent client service 
• ODOT or any city/state agencies experience preferred
