Summary
Our ideal candidate has basic construction knowledge, a great work ethic, and a positive attitude. This position is responsible for supporting Project Managers and Field Crew during Construction Projects and their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. Project Engineers assist with monitoring cost estimates, schedules, subcontracts, owner and subcontractor change orders RFQ’s and process submittals.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors at multiple jobsites
- Review the work progress on daily basis
- Ensure supplies and deliveries are on track to keep projects on schedule.
- Assist PM's with bids, contracts, RFI's, RFQ's and change orders.
- Generate project schedules and timelines.
- Generate detailed and conceptual project cost estimates.
- Estimate materials and labor requirements.
- Read and understand construction plans and specifications.
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License
- Knowledge and understanding of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
- Must be competent at reading and understanding plans.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project, MS Outlook and other project management software.
- Ability to work with multiple team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to seek additional responsibility and guidance from company management as needed
- Ability to travel between job sites with own vehicle (reimbursed miles)
