DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leads/facilitates all phases of a Crew Systems project – requirements development, design, prototyping, procurement, verification & validation, and production
• Responsible for project planning (scope definition/schedule development)
• Provides oversight, guidance and collaboration with internal team departments, contractors, designers, and vendors to ensure they are staying within project scope, budget, and schedule
• Monitors & reports progress and provides recommendations to Management for process improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
• 2-4 years’ experience leading Engineering projects (or a combined equivalent of education and experience)
• Familiarity with spaceflight hardware development and certification preferred

Essential Functions

• Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements

• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
• Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position

Physical Requirements (For Technicians or others, this may require edits)

• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
